Rated 1 out of 5 by Diane5226 cute, but useless
First of all, it advertises that the assembly is easy, one-tool. My husband can't put anything together but tried and predictably failed. He brought it to a friend who can do anything and he struggled to put it together. Took him well over an hour of struggles. Second, the steps are way too small to use. They look much bigger than they actually are. You can't put two feet on the same step so for anyone balance-challenged like myself I am afraid to use it. So I have to get out and use the stepladder I was hoping to get rid of. Third, it's too low to use at the counter. I am tall but have to stand to reach anything. Sitting on it, which is the point of it all, you can hardly reach what is right in front of you. Please note the picture in the latest Gold Violin brochure. .I didn't. The first time I used it was the last time I used it. So I was unable to replace the stool I was using for food preparation. My retro kitchen stool has been reduced to a cute decoration until I'm prepared to throw it away and the $100 I paid for it. To be honest, I am so dissatisfied that I will not buy anything else from Gold VIolin fearing a similar disappointment.

Rated 5 out of 5 by JimKC222 Awesome! Thank You for stocking this!
I haven't ordered this as yet but now in the process of doing so. No need to wait to review it. Like the others have said, I had no idea they were still made! My parents had 1 in the late 1950's and it was recovered twice by my dad. I think they still had it in the 80's but long gone. I can really use this myself now. Cupboards are too high to reach and I need something about this size to change ceiling lights. Perfect!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Bunney Sturdiest step stool
My family had one when I was young. I had hoped to get one and couldn't find it until now. I've had three spine surgeries and can not reach as I used to so this step stool is sooo handy and sooo sturdy I'm not afraid to use it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ny homemaker Thankful to find this
I thought they stopped making these! I have mine in the kitchen, my mother's downstairs in the laundryroom and my aunt's in the home workshop. That make's three total. All over twenty years old. I plan to get another for the home office! Many thanks!
