Over time from wearing the shoe does the yarn be come too loose and the shoe will slip on your feet?

BEST ANSWER: Yes around the ankle it gets a little loosen so it will go on easier. At first it is tight. I had a pair of these shoes for 10 years they lasted that long. Then they got holes in them. So I bought another pair. I love them. I hope I answered your question.

After washing in the washer for a long time, they sometimes become a little loose; but they are worth the purchase. I have them black, beige,brown, red, grey and olive. No shoe feels this wonderful like this one does.

This has not happened to mine. They are made from a synthetic fiber and quite elastic. They shrink back every time I take a them off, and I have worn them hundreds of times.

No, this shoe is lasts and keeps its fit. My mother has a pair she wears everyday and after two years still fits fine. Very good quality; worth every penny.

Are these washable, by hand or machine?

BEST ANSWER: Yes, I took these to Europe in 2000 and used them as comfort shoes in the rooms. The maids in Portugal were delighted to see me in their "work" shoes. I have had them in the washer many times and of course air dry. The souls have been under the tap water on several occasions as well. I was happy to find them again in 2015 as with all favorites they can wear out.

I have not washed these shoes, but I have washed very similar stretch knit shoes with a rubber sole in the washing machine (just left them sitting out to dry) with no ill effects. They came out of the machine clean and in good shape.

In the summer, I wore these shoes in the pool several times a week. They held together fine. I also hand-washed with soapy water and a small brush, rinsed well and dried them in the sun. No problerm.

I wear 11 extra wide shoes. Will these work for me?

BEST ANSWER: As long as you can find the European equivalent, and buy the wide. I wear a 7.5 to 8 extra wide. I bought the 8 wide and they have plenty of stretch. Afer I bought one blue and one black pair, tried them for a while, I went back and bought an extra pair of both just to make sure I had more on hand. :)

I wear size 8 extra wide and order the 38 size (I think). I have t three pairs of these shoes, and they are the
only ones I can wear since I have had bunion surgery and my feet are also extra wide. I should think they
would be great if you order the size they specify.

BEST ANSWER: You buy the size you typically would purchase. The continental sizes below are followed by US sizes - and if there are 2 US sizes, the first is medium width; the second is wide. This is usually noted by the distributor on its website.

Portugal is where these slippers are made. Some hotel employees use them for their work shoes. They are very comfortable and easy packers. I love these.
